Ended collaboration PW Offices and Atrium Meeting Centre

After a period of 4 years PW Offices and the owner of Atrium have agreed to terminated the exploitation of Atrium Meeting Centre on the Zuidas in Amsterdam. 

The goal of both parties in 2016 was to establish a profitable exploitation within 2-4 years. During the last years, on behalf the owner of the Atrium, PW Offices was involved as manager to start up the Atrium Meeting Centre. 

The operational and commercial acivitities have been combined with the activities of the catering supplier with the goal to create an efficient and effective exploitation. 

We wish Compass Group the best of luck in continuing the journey of Atrium Meeting Centre!




Ended collaboration between PW Markets and Van Remoortel NV

As of February 1st, 2020, the collaboration between PW Markets and Van Remoortel NV has been terminated. 
Since September 2016 both parties have tied their strenghts to strengthen the position of Cash & Carry location Belse, Belgium, in the Belgium and North – France Markets.

The collaboration resulted in diversification and expansion of products due to the effort of a large number of exposants within the PW Markets network.

Based on the seperated future vision both parties have decided to end the strategic collobaration.

PW Information Technology sells interest in Gengu

PW Information Technology, a 100% subsidiary of Property Works, sells as per 29 January 2018 its 70% stake in full service internet company Gengu. This will end the 3 ½ years of co-operation between the two companies.

Het Tilburgse Estate, located in Tilburg, takes over retroactively the activities of Gengu per 1 January 2018. Both companies specialize in .NET and work on Sitecore. With this acquisition they join forces in this particular field.

Gengu will continue its activities by the name Estate Rotterdam.

Van Remoortel NV and PW Markets enter into strategic partnership

New B-2-B cash & carry concept for the home, gift, garden, and fashion sector

Van Remoortel NV and PW Markets – B2B cash & carry retailers active in the home, gift, and garden sector in the Netherlands and Belgium – are joining forces to develop a new cash & carry concept that caters to markets in Belgium and northern France. Van Remoortel owns a wholesale company and a cash & carry marketplace in the Belgian city of Belsele. PW Markets owns the cash & carry concepts Trends & Trade, FashionExtras, and TICA, all of which are located in the Netherlands. Today, director Winny de Cock senior of Van Remoortel NV and director Robert Segers of PW Markets will jointly announce their plans to combine their activities on the Belgian and northern French markets as part of a strategic partnership.

Both companies have been serving the same customer groups for years with their cash & carry concept, but they operate in different countries and regions. They expect the strategic partnership to be advantageous for supply and demand and therefore benefit both purchasing retailers and selling exhibitors.

The parties will jointly implement a new cash & carry concept on 1 October 2016. As part of this concept, some fifty national and international manufacturers and importers of home, gift, and garden products will sell their goods in their own cash & carry shop-in-shop in Belsele, which has a total floor area of 9,500 m². The product range will also be expanded as of this date with 1,000 m² of shop-in-shop fashion exhibitors. Some 25 entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their fashion accessories, clothing, jewellery, and personal care products in an enclosed space.

Dutch companies Trends & Trade Venlo and TICA and Belgian company Van Remoortel are wholesale concepts based on the cash & carry principle. Interior and exterior products are offered to professional retailers on 10,000 to 20,000 square metres of shop floor space. The product range is supplied by various manufacturers and importers. The wholesalers attract professional retailers in their immediate areas, including interior design stores, gift shops, florists, and similar stores.

The 1st of September 2016, the first part of “Atrium Meeting Center” was opened.

PW Offices has launched the new service concept Atrium Meeting Center in Amsterdam in collaboration with property owner Icon.

On the first floor of the Atrium Meeting Center, which is located in the heart of the Amsterdam business district, 12 state of the art meeting rooms up to 80 people have been realized. The rooms can be booked for both tenants of Atrium and external parties.

The Atrium Meeting Center will be operational from 1 September 2016. The professional appearance of the meeting rooms and the pleasant atmosphere of the Atrium Meeting Center generated many positive reactions during the opening. At the end of 2017 Atrium Meeting Center will be expanded with 14 more rooms and availability up to 250 people.

The Atrium Meeting Center team consists of hospitality professionals who ensure an excellent performance of meetings, seminars, training or other kind of meetings. Atrium Meeting Center is part of the Atrium location which is located in the business district of Amsterdam. Atrium is committed to excellent service and standards. Atrium is a “lifespace”, where you can work, meet and relax.

The acquisition of TICA by PW Markets has been confirmed

Trends & Trade of Venlo and TICA of Uithoorn are the two leading wholesalers in the Netherlands in the field of home, gifts, garden, and fashion for professional retailers. Director of PW Markets, Martijn Cliteur, and chair of the board of Coöperatie TICA UA, Fred Lauck, will make a joint announcement today on the acquisition of TICA by PW Markets as of 10 may 2016.

Property Works has been active in business services and the consumer market since 2009. The companies of Property Works are clustered in a number of specialist companies, including PW Markets. PW Markets is a subsidiary of Property Works.

Trends & Trade Venlo and TICA have been serving the same customer groups for many years with their cash & carry concept, but they operate in different regions. At the end of last year, both parties announced that they would explore the possibility of a collaboration in the first four months of 2016. This investigation proved that an acquisition provides many advantages and opportunities for supply and demand. With the acquisition of TICA, PW Markets now has four large-scale wholesale business concepts within the retail sector and B2B market. By working together strategically, synergetic advantages are created for both businesses such as a shared innovation policy, marketing, and automation.

Trends & Trade Venlo and TICA are lifestyle wholesale concepts based on the cash & carry principle. Together, these two companies offer interior and exterior products to professional retailers on 40,000 square metres of shop floor space. These products are supplied by more than 180 manufacturers and importers at Trends & Trade and 200 manufacturers and importers at TICA. These wholesalers attract professional retailers including interior design stores, gift shops, florists, hotel and catering establishments, and project designers.

New Babylon Meeting Center; Winner Bronze Medal ‘Best Conference Location 2015’

New Babylon Meeting Center has won the 3rd prize at the MEETINGS Awards 2015; the Winner of the Bronze medal in the category ‘Best Congress Location of the Year 2015’. On Monday 25 January 2016, the MEETINGS® Awards 2015 winners were announced during the MEETINGS Business Event. The readers of the trade magazine MEETINGS voted from 1 September to 31 December 2015 for the best locations and companies in the market for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) in the Netherlands.

In the Postillion Convention Center WTC Rotterdam, chairman Hans Kazàn presented the prizes to the TOP-3 in the categories Best Conference Location, Best Event Location, Best Team Attraction, Best Training Location, Best Meeting Location and Best Meeting Supplier. These national MEETINGS® Awards were presented this year for the ninth year in a row. A record number of votes of 7,499 has been issued to the 64 participating locations and companies.

Earlier, New Babylon Meeting Center was already classified by the Dutch Meeting and Conference classification with 5 hammers, the equivalent of stars for the MICE market. An average score of 9 is given for, among other things, catering, interior and service.
